BMC Roadmachine X: Swiss all-roader with more performance

September 22, 2021 by Florian Nowak

product news: With the new BMC Roadmachine X, the Swiss manufacturer shows that the all-road topic plays a decisive role for them in order to close the gap between the proven road bike race area and the still up-and-coming gravel area. Thanks to extensive further developments, one would like to join combine even better performance with the well-known features and impressive comfort of the Roadmachine X in a premium carbon frame.

Back in 2016, BMC started the Era of the Road Machine build and introduced an overarching category for all of its racing bikes. Part of it was and is the Roadmachine X. This model is particularly aimed at drivers who want to be sporty and yet comfortable on any terrain. With clever features, the new BMC Roadmachine X can offer great flexibility and thus offer a successful mix of endurance racing bike and gravel bike. Whether for brisk trips or multi-day discovery tours.

BMC Roadmachine X

The main feature of the new BMC Roadmachine X is the characteristic Endurance geometry, which allows the rider to master any terrain with confidence and to ride in comfort. The Swiss combine this with in-house innovations such as the TCC Endurance System in the carbon layup, the D-shaped carbon seat post and BMC's characteristic flat seat stays. The Roadmachine X is equipped with the most powerful on-road version of the Tuned Compliance Concept (TCC) and features a specially designed TCC fork that offers additional vertical compliance and lateral stiffness for better control and comfort on uneven surfaces.

In addition, there is a wide range of customization options to meet the needs of almost every rider and to be able to offer individual adjustment options.

The Roadmachine X features the new wireless SRAM XPLR 1X drive system, offering a modern solution for all-road riders. Combined with 32mm tubeless-ready tires, riders can confidently venture into varied terrain and unpaved roads.

When we designed the Roadmachine, we wanted to make sure it would meet the demands of an ever-evolving generation of endurance riders who want to keep pushing the boundaries of their riding experience by exploring more challenging terrain and breaking away from the dogmas of classic road cycling solve. We are confident that the new models will expand and improve these possibilities. – Stefano Gennaioli, Product Marketing Manager at BMC Switzerland
