Product News: A great era is coming to an end. After 110 years, the last bicycle model with a gooseneck frame rolls off the assembly line at Diamant. For three decades, the Topas has carried on the tradition of the 1912 original. The last, limited edition is now available from all Diamant dealers, and the story of the successful model will end in the spring with a raffle for the last Topas wheels.
The Topas was the first new Diamant bike after reunification. The characteristic frame, curved like a swan's neck, was based on the original from 1912. The ultimate retro look still attracts attention today and tempts anew every day, even in modern times. After 31 years, the Topas Grande Finale finally closes the Topas series. For the 2022 model year, Diamant has polished the optically very impressive bicycle model one last time. The typical diamond head adorns the mudguard exclusively and thus impressively underlines the claim as a coveted vintage design object. The saddle, the stitched handles and the bell also have a retro design.
However, modern parts are hidden behind the vintage look of the bike, which should guarantee the user extremely pleasant riding comfort and high reliability. The Shimano C3000 hub dynamo reliably supplies the stylish lamp with energy even at low speeds. The low-maintenance and proven Shimano Nexus 8 gear hub can be operated intuitively and with one hand. The T4000 V-brakes also come from Shimano, while the brake levers come from Tektro. Complemented by a side stand, luggage rack and chain guard, no wishes should remain unfulfilled in everyday life. The Topas, which is based on an aluminum frame and a steel fork, is available in the colors electroplating pearl or emerald pearl at a price of 949 euros.
