The Dutchwoman prevailed in a thrilling three-way battle ahead of her compatriots Ceylin Del Carmen Alvarado and Denise Betsema . Due to the narrow time difference, the third-place finisher on the day takes the lead in the overall standings. The 32-year-old Lucinda Brand now trails by 1 minute and 33 seconds after her seventh victory of the season.

Toon Aerts wins confidently and takes the overall lead
With an absolutely impressive solo effort, Toon Aerts secured the stage win in the men's race today. The Belgian attacked in the mud of Kortrijk right from the first lap and maintained his one-man show until the finish. Eli Iserbyt crossed the line in second place and Corné van Kessel in third, more than a minute behind. Toon Aerts now also leads the X20 Trophy overall standings, but still has some tough races ahead.
