The new DT Swiss ERC Lineup: Fast, stable, persistent

17 November 2021 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The new DT Swiss ERC wheels are in their second generation and, thanks to special development, are said to combine stability and speed while not losing their endurance-specific orientation. Since In 2016, the ERC lineup from DT Swiss is becoming increasingly popular and offers versatile high-end wheels for the needs of ambitious hobby and racing cyclists who don't want to forego the necessary comfort on their rides. By a In addition to improved aerodynamics, the new rim shape should also enable better handling, especially in crosswind conditions.

The goal of the new DT Swiss ERC wheel lineup quickly becomes clear. Unlimited, versatile driving fun combined with brisk aerodynamics, good handling and pleasant comfort. The ERC wheels are also able to withstand different road surfaces or weather conditions such as wind and rain and should always offer the driver full control while driving. Based on the proven Aero+ development concept and in cooperation with Swiss Side, a leading expert in the field of aerodynamic optimization, the ERC wheels have been revised accordingly. They now offer a further improved mixture of low air resistance and higher crosswind stability. The new Aero+ rim profiles allow the use of comfortable, wider tires. The 240 or 180 Dicut Aero hubs with the ultra-light-running SINC Ceramic bearings and the latest DT Swiss Aero spokes ensure the best aerodynamics and good rolling characteristics. With the Ratchet EXP freewheel system, the power transmission of the new ERC wheels has also been improved so that every pedal rotation is precisely converted into propulsion and speed.
