Cycling / Spectrum: In view of the rather unflattering weather, more and more ambitious cyclists are currently shifting their training to the roller. If you want to support a good cause in addition to improving your mileage account, you can now take part in the ELITE Charity Ride.
Let's get straight to the point: the weather isn't very inviting for cycling at the moment. Of course there is good autumn and winter clothing, but when you are finally home after a hard day at work, you have little desire to go out into the cold, wet darkness again for training. Roller training offers the best conditions for effective training in the comfort of your own home. If you not only want to improve your mileage account, but also want to support a good cause at the same time, you can now take part in the ELITE Charity Ride. Cycling enthusiasts have until December 12th the chance to complete a given route on the virtual cycling platform Rouvy and raise money for a charity. With every finish, the organizers donate five euros. With a possible total of 10.000 euros, ELITE, in cooperation with Paul Lange & Co., want to support two aid organizations and draw attention to children in need. In this regard, the campaign is intended to benefit the relief organizations Kinderlachen eV, Fundación Wiphala and Stiftung Kinderglück. A good cause, for which the German professional cyclist Nikias Arndt from Team DSM will also pedal at the ELITE Charity Ride Groupride on Monday evening, November 22nd from 19:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m.
Anyone with a smart trainer with Bluetooth functionality can take part in the ELITE Charity Ride. Rouvy is making its platform available to participants in the charity ride free of charge for the entire campaign period.
