Cycling News / Everyone: Since 1990, the BDR has bundled particularly attractive cycling marathon events in its own series. The day trips are organized by committed clubs throughout Germany. In the 2022 season, long-distance drivers can once again look forward to 20 selected events.
The BDR Cycle Marathon Cup 2022 offers demanding long-distance cyclists a very attractive package with a total of 20 events. BDR speaker Bruno Nettesheim was able to present a regionally and timely balanced calendar, which was adopted together with the state associations at the national conference on mass sport. During the planning, proven organizers as well as returnees and completely new members of the cycling marathon family could be used. Low-traffic and scenic roads are used for the day tours with a length of more than 200 kilometers. The tours are generally designed as a circuit and usually offer shorter routes between 40 and 170 kilometers as an alternative for beginners. There is no official timekeeping. Anyone who rides five bike marathons will be rewarded with the exclusive BDR bike marathon cup finisher jersey.
