Rapha Festive 500: This year, the manufacturer of premium cycling clothing is once again asking the cycling community to cover 500 kilometers between Christmas and New Year's Eve. Whether alone, in a group, outdoors or indoors, the main thing is that you drive and record everything on Strava.
The idea for the Festive 500 was born on the snowy streets of Kent in southern England and began with a personal battle against the elements. Former Rapha designer Graeme Raeburn created the event in 2010 after completing 1000km himself between Christmas and New Year's Day. Over the past twelve years, the Challenge has become a fixture on the calendar for cyclists around the world. More than 65.000 people covered the route last year. This year again, between December 24th and 31st, it's time to collect kilometers, record them on Strava and, with a bit of luck, win a Cannondale bike.
For all finishers who complete the distance, there will be a coveted Festive 500 digital finisher badge for the Strava Trophy Case as a commemorative. But there are also Wahoo, POC and Whoop prizes up for grabs for all creative people who capture their experiences and share them under the #RaphaFestive500.
The Rapha Festive 500 Collection
Of course, there will be a separate collection again this year for the challenge. With a design inspired by chaos, the Festive 500 collection includes everything you need to tackle the 500 kilometers - whether you ride it indoors or outdoors.
For those looking for extra motivation, there's the option to participate in anything from challenge-preparation rides to group rides and free coffee during the challenge at local Rapha Clubhouses. More information can be found in the Rapha events calendar, which can be found online.
