Cycling news: The Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl team has been one of the most successful WorldTour teams for many years. With the Italian premium manufacturer Castelli, the Belgian professional team will now have an equally well-known and successful clothing partner from the 2022 season, around from the steady innovations in the future to be able to benefit.
As part of the three-year deal (2022-2024), Castelli will provide the WorldTour's top team, Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl, with its full arsenal of race and training apparel. Quick-Step has dominated the professional cycling scene since the team was formed in 2003 and has led the year-end world rankings every year since 2012. Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl will be the only WorldTour team to wear clothing from Castelli, the brand that has a history spanning more than 145 years and has continued to set milestones with groundbreaking innovations such as the first Lycra cycling shorts, aerodynamically optimized racing jerseys , innovative solutions for time trial and road suits and last but not least the Gabba, which has become synonymous with weather protection.

“At Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl we are always open to innovation, new ways of thinking and always looking for areas where we can improve. We are therefore particularly pleased to be able to start a partnership with Castelli. Just like us, Castelli can look back on a long and successful history in cycling. Despite this, they never tire of wanting to be the best and are looking for innovative ways to improve their clothing to stay on top. Cycling in bad weather is often a struggle for survival, but being able to compete in the world's biggest races with the best technical clothing will be of great benefit to our riders. We are delighted to have Castelli join the Wolfpack family.” – Patrick Lefevere, CEO of the team
Castelli will bring its expertise in aerodynamics to road racing, time trials and track racing. Some of the time trial specialists in the team have already been equipped with tailor-made suits, which will be intensively optimized in the wind tunnel in January in order to further refine the performance. For Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl, the top sprint team in the peloton, Castelli also designed a one-piece suit that is specially optimized for the high speeds of mass sprints. But the rain gear that is famous for Castelli, such as the Gabba or the Idro Pro jacket, will also be used as part of the partnership, especially for the spring classics, and will be further optimized.
In addition, the partnership between Castelli and Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl will include a handful of innovative performance products right from the start of the season, including the brand new Free Aero RC Bibshort, BTW and Superleggera racing suits, as well as weather protection pieces such as the Idro Pro 3 rain jacket, Gabba RoS and Perfetto RoS . End users should therefore be excited, because a selection of the products developed with Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl will find their way into the standard collection from Castelli in the coming seasons and will also flow into the Servizio Corse Custom range.
