World Cup: Eli Iserbyt & Marianne Vos win in Hoogerheide

24 January 2022 by Michael Behringer

Iserbyt Vos Hoogerheide

Cycling: The World Cup in Hoogerheide goes to Eli Iserbyt for men and Marianne Vos for women. This means that the overall winner and the overall winner in the World Cup have been determined.

Iserbyt shocks Pidcock

After the cancellations of Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert, Thomas Pidcock is the favorite for the cyclocross world championships next weekend. The Brit wanted to do justice to this role today in Hoogerheide - but exactly the opposite happened. For a long time as a soloist, he was asked in the end. Belgian Eli Iserbyt won the race two seconds ahead of compatriot Lars van der Haar and three seconds ahead of Thomas Pidcock. Not only did he win the overall World Cup, but he automatically became the favorite at the World Championships in the USA. The German Marcel Meisen can look forward to 13th place in the overall World Cup.

The overall World Cup, however, could no longer be taken from Lucinda Brand.
