Test Fischer foot floor pump: In our Fischer trilogy, the foot floor pump with manometer marks the end of the small series of tests. As the product name might already suggest, this is not a conventional bicycle floor pump, but a foot pump. So a completely different approach - and maybe even the perfect alternative?
Design and key data Fischer foot floor pump with manometer
The Fischer foot floor pump with manometer impresses with its very compact design. A metal bracket fixes the lifting piston in the lowest position during transport, which means that the pump is only 19 centimeters high. This model definitely does not cause space problems. When folded out, the bracket releases the lifting piston and also serves as a base. The analog manometer is generously dimensioned and the digits are easy to read. The pump capacity is given as 7 bar. The pump head enables the inflation of tires with Schrader, Dunlop and Presta valves. There are two additional adapters for balls and air mattresses under a cap on the manometer.
function and feel
The pump hose, which is quite short at 33 centimetres, makes handling difficult. The valve must therefore always be in the lowest position. We are also not very positive about the status of the Fischer foot floor pump when pumping it up. The metal bracket does not fix the pump sufficiently, which makes the work quite shaky. Unfortunately, this is topped by the manometer. When pressed, the needle dances back and forth before leveling off at a value that is much too low. At 3 bar air pressure, the manometer only shows 2 bar, below 1 bar the needle can hardly be moved to display. Extremely disappointing idea of a product that looks quite solid.
Conclusion Fischer foot floor pump with manometer
The shaky stand, the inaccurate manometer and the very short pump hose leave little room for praise and a good rating. The supplied adapters enable balls, seat cushions and mattresses to be pumped up, but we see less of the Fischer foot floor pump with pressure gauge in the bicycle sector. The other two pumps from the brand proved in the test that Fischer can also do things differently.
