Cycling: Mark Cavendish has won the second stage of the Tour of Oman. The Brit was unbeatable in the mass sprint this time after finishing second at the start yesterday.

First win of the season for Mark Cavendish (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl). The Brit won stage two of the Tour of Oman in a bunch sprint. After 167,5 kilometers from Naseem Park to Sohar Corniche, the now 36-year-old was the crucial centimeters ahead of the Australian Caden Groves (Bike Exchange - Jayco). As a result, Mark Cavendish also takes the lead in the overall standings.

On Day #1, Gaviria defeated Cavendish

The eleventh Tour of Oman started yesterday at Al Rustaq Fort. The opening stage took the pros over 138 kilometers to their destination, Muscat.
