Valencia Tour #5: Jakobsen celebrates another stage win, Vlasov overall winner

Cycling: The 2022 Tour of Valencia goes to Aleksandr Vlasov. The Russian defended his overall lead on the final stage. This went to Fabio Jakobsen again.

Second win of the season: Fabio Jacobsen (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl) sprints across the finish line first again on the fifth and final stage of the Tour of Valencia. After 92 kilometers from Paterna to Valencia he was again unbeatable in the mass sprint. Elia Viviani (Ineos Grenadiers) and alexander kristoff (Intermarché – Wanty – Gobert Matériaux) only places two and three remained. Crossed the finish line jubilantly too Alexander Vlasov (Bora – hansgrohe). The Russian effortlessly defended the leader's jersey on the final day of the Tour of Valencia. Next to standing on the podium Remco Evenepoel (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl) and Carlos Rodriguez (Ineos Grenadiers), who ended up being beaten by 32 and 36 seconds respectively.
