Structure, materials and processing
The Ergon Mountain HM2 is a very light and airy all-round mountain bike glove for all types of off-road sport. The cut and choice of materials should guarantee the rider precise gripping, braking and shifting. Both the fingers and the palm are preformed. The glove has silicone prints on the fingertips for safe operation of the cockpit. The flat seams in the metacarpal area, the surrounding fingertips without seams under the fingernails and the very elastic, breathable mesh on the back of the hand promise a high level of comfort. The long-fingered glove is completed by a donning aid and a Velcro closure. The Mountain HM2 is only available in black in six sizes at a price of 39,95 euros.
The Ergon Mountain HM2 in practice
Putting on the long-fingered gloves is very easy thanks to the donning aid and the Velcro closure. The material nestles snugly on the hand, the preformed fingers and palm ensure a perfect fit in the gripping position. A glove that fits like a tailor-made suit. When riding, the Mountain HM2 impresses with its high level of comfort and extremely good ventilation. The grip is very good, and the grip when shifting and braking leaves nothing to be desired. The seams are unobtrusive and neither disturb nor pinch. Also great: the all-round fingertips prevent any seams from getting caught under the fingernails. That's a really good solution! Although the palm is very soft, the material impresses with its enormous stability. Unfortunately, the light mesh fabric on the back of the hand can't quite keep up. The fabric reacts to rough external influences with slight fraying.
