Whether it's a racing bike or gravel bike, amateur or professional, all that counts at Red Bull Hill Chasers is the driving time on what is probably the steepest road in Germany. On the changeable surface with bumpy cobblestones, the strongest driver is sought in the sprint over the 500 meter route. After the premiere in Marburg in 2013, the whole thing will now take place on May 28, 2022 in the imperial Barbarossa city of Gelnhausen in Hesse.
The route of the Red Bull Hill Chaser
Initially flat, increasingly steep in the middle section and towards the end felt vertical, this is probably the best way to describe the Hill Chasers route. Despite the short length of "just" 500 meters, the route is really tough, because the subsoil with partly cobblestones doesn't make it any easier. The highlight, however, is without question the final sprint, which with an average of 27%, and even 32% in the steepest part, should be a unique challenge for every cyclist.
