New Scott Bikes 2022: For 2022, Scott has completely revised its cross country and trail mountain bikes. A lot has also happened in the e-MTB sector: two e-MTBs have been added to the range. The Patron eRIDE is full of interesting surprises. Here we present all new innovations and bikes.
The wheel can no longer be reinvented? Not even close! Scott shows us what is still possible with the innovative solutions for the new mountain bikes and e-MTBs for the year 2022. The resourceful inventors, who incidentally brought the first bike lines with 2012 inch wheels onto the market in 27,5, have them new 2022 bikes packed with great features. Below you will find a model and feature overview of the new Scott bikes.
Top features on all new mountain bikes and e-MTBs
Integrated damper in the frame
It looks like a full-suspension bike, but where's the shock? This wouldn't be unreasonable if you were standing in front of one of the new Scott bikes. Scott has managed to completely conceal the shock within the frame on their brand-new mountain bikes and e-MTBs. Besides the elegant look, this design perfectly protects the shock from dirt and therefore requires significantly less maintenance. It also allows for a stiffer frame construction and the use of larger bearings at the pivot points – the latter improving not only performance but also durability. The frame triangle itself also saves space, allowing for more easily accessible and larger water bottles, for example. On the conventional Spark RC and Spark 900 mountain bikes without electric drive, the integrated shock sits very low, improving the bikes' center of gravity. The shock is adjusted via the TwinLoc system, which can be conveniently operated from the handlebars. Should it be necessary to make adjustments directly on the shock, these are easily accessible via a hatch in the down tube and top tube.

Cockpit with integrated trains
The clean look of the integrated damper is continued in the cockpit: Scott elegantly hides all the cables from the gears, brakes, seat post and TwinLoc under the handlebars before they finally run completely inside the stem. Here's how Scott might have created the tidiest mountain bike cockpit ever! This design also significantly reduces cable kinking. The high-quality mountain bikes and e-MTBs of the different model series have carbon handlebars that are fused with the stem to form one part. This ensures an extremely low weight with significantly more rigidity. The cheaper bikes, on the other hand, are equipped with aluminum handlebars, which, like the carbon handlebars, also come from Scott's component brand Syncros.

More features on the mountain bikes and e-MTBs
The list of features is still long - we present all other innovations from Scott for the respective mountain bikes and e-MTBs in the model overview.

Scott Spark RC 2022: New edition of the successful XC World Cup mountain bike
It's one of the most successful mountain bikes in the World Cup: the Scott Spark RC . Scott hasn't rested on its laurels, however – quite the opposite, the Spark RC has been completely redesigned for 2022 in collaboration with Nino Schurter and Kate Courtney. The result is a high-end cross-country machine that is sure to rack up more victories in the World Cup. The shock, discreetly integrated into the frame, sits just above the bottom bracket, keeping the bike's center of gravity nice and low. This design also allows for refined shock responsiveness and provides more tire clearance. Additionally, Scott achieves greater stiffness with the mountain bike's robust downtube, resulting in less material being used. Consequently, the 2022 Spark RC frame weighs just 1870 grams with the shock! The TwinLoc system allows you to conveniently adjust the fork and shock from the handlebars using a single lever unit to suit the riding situation. This can save valuable seconds in race mode. We've already tested the Spark RC here.
The top model Spark RC SL EVO AXS 2022
Weighing in at a remarkable 10,1 kg, this mountain bike is a true racing machine. Furthermore, almost everything on this cross-country bike that can be carbon fiber is carbon fiber. The Fox Factory suspension components leave nothing to be desired and provide excellent damping. Scott has opted for the electronic SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS drivetrain. Braking is handled by the powerful Shimano XTR M9100 brakes. All this high-tech comes at a price: €13.499 is the price tag for the Spark RC SL EVO AXS.

Scott Spark 900: The trail bike variant of the successful XC World Cup mountain bike 2022
The Spark 900 is the big brother of the Spark RC, so to speak. Scott uses the same frame but equips the mountain bikes with correspondingly more robust components. The specially developed headset allows the head angle to be adjusted by 0,6°. This can be easily rotated 180° – thus easily changing the bike's geometry. In any case, the Spark 900 is an absolutely uncompromising machine, whether you call it a trail bike or a downcountry bike. The aggressive 65,8° head angle promises good control on fast descents; the bike's low weight ensures plenty of power. So, if you want to really push yourself on your local trails and chase new lap records, the Spark 900 will certainly be the right choice. While the high-end models are made entirely of carbon, the more affordable models are constructed from aluminum. The Spark 900 mid-range mountain bikes feature a main frame made of carbon and a rear swingarm made of aluminum.
The top model Spark 900 Ultimate EVO AXS 2022
Just like the top-of-the-line Spark RC, Scott uses carbon fiber extensively on the Spark 900 Ultimate EVO AXS . The understated yet perfectly coordinated color scheme is impressive and reflects the high-quality nature of this trail bike. As with the Spark RC, Scott has opted for the electronic SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS drivetrain. Fox Factory suspension components ensure a comfortable ride. A high-end Trickstuff Piccola HD brake is also included for slowing down – and your wallet will lighten by €13.499 if you want to own the 2022 Spark 900 Ultimate EVO AXS mountain bike.

Scott Patron eRIDE: Massive innovation in an E-MTB
Everything about this bike is high-tech! Scott continues with the new Patron eRIDE - that we already presented here have – standards among E-MTBs. Many well thought-out details give the buyer lasting pleasure and one may ask: why has no one thought of this before? These are, for example, rear lights that are integrated into the small mudguard. Or the way the motor is installed that is twisted upwards, which protects it better from contact with the ground and ensures better heat dissipation upwards. The detachable Bosch Kiox 300 display is simply and centrally mounted on the stem-handlebar unit and informs the rider about all important functions. The system can also be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth.
The geometry of Patron eRIDE is designed for smooth running and good climbing properties due to its long chainstays and long reach. Scott defines this E-MTB as a trail bike – but with its 160mm of travel and a steering angle of around 65 degrees, it is definitely up to rougher enduro use and should give its rider a lot of fun going downhill.
While the 900 model numbers have a carbon frame, the 910 and 920 model numbers have a slightly heavier aluminum frame.
Bosch drive for massive E-MTB power
The Patron eRIDE models are equipped with a Bosch Performance CX motor and draw their power from the new 750 Wh Bosch PowerTube battery. This means the e-MTBs are powered by the most powerful battery in the Bosch range. Scott specifies a range of up to 100 km or 2000 meters of elevation gain for its e-MTBs. The battery can also be removed from the bottom without tools.
The top model Patron eRIDE 900 Ultimate
Carbon, innovation, and premium components everywhere! That's how you aptly describe the Patron Ultimate. DT Swiss HXC1501 carbon wheels and Fox Factory suspension leave nothing to be desired. Braking is provided by powerful Shimano XTR four-piston brakes. For the e-MTB's drivetrain, Scott relies on the SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS groupset. This operates electronically, eliminating the need for a cable on the e-mountain bike. The e-MTB weighs a mere 23,7 kg, which is a respectable result for a bike with such a powerful battery! With 11 Wh, it's lighter than a conventional e-MTB.999But so much high-end also has its price.

Our tip: Contessa is actually the line specifically for women. However, since these e-MTBs don't differ in geometry from the men's models, anyone can confidently choose any model. In any case, with the Patron eRIDE you get a true e-enduro bike that should perform well both downhill and uphill.
Scott Axis eRIDE EVO: The E-MTB for all occasions
Even though Scott officially markets the Axis eRIDE EVO as a trekking bike or SUV, these e-MTBs are certainly suitable for off-road excursions! The full-suspension model in particular – which we 've already reviewed – boasts 140mm of travel and a head angle of around 65 degrees, giving it the specs of an all-mountain bike. The idea of quickly removing the rack and fenders isn't far-fetched. Nevertheless, these e-MTBs are geared more towards the casual rider who isn't aiming for peak athletic performance and is looking for a great all-around e-bike. Whether that's commuting to work, a family outing to the local lake, or an extended tour to a favorite alpine pasture followed by a trail descent.

Our tip: The Scott Axis eRIDE EVO FS could be a good choice for anyone considering buying an e-MTB but who hasn't actually ridden a bike before. You get a solid all-round or SUV-style bike that incorporates many innovative features. Should your sporting ambitions grow during use, you can remove the mudguards and rack, fit some more aggressive tires, and you've got yourself a fully off-road capable e-MTB!
