Braking on the E-MTB

Riding technique for E-MTB: In our video series on riding technique on mountain bikes with and without electric drive, we show videos every Friday with all relevant information and give tips for safe descent. After we die in the first week Basic position on the E-MTB clarified, this week we will take a closer look at safe braking and better balance on a mountain bike.

It's driving technique Friday again and this Friday we're releasing two videos that are thematically very close. The perfect balance on the E-MTB is extremely important, especially when braking. Together with the MTB Academy, we will show you how to brake safely and economically. In the second video, we focus on the topic of balance on the E-MTB and show you the appropriate training methods. So watch the videos and then have fun training!

2. Riding technique video: Safe braking on the E-MTB

Correct and safe braking on the E-MTB is an absolute must and should also be practiced much more often. The experts of MTB Academy find out again and again at their camps that braking is practiced far too little and the effect of correct braking is often underestimated. So that you can be safer and have more fun on your mountain bike adventures, you should watch the pros' tips on braking in this video and then train extensively on your bike. With the right braking technique, you not only ensure your own well-being, but you can also help to ensure that forest paths and trails are not unnecessarily affected.

3. Riding technique video: Better balance on the E-MTB

As with many other sports, balance is a very important core element in mountain biking. It should therefore be trained very often and in a targeted manner. The balance should be automatic so that you can fully concentrate on the trail in critical situations. Use the experience of the coaches to do this Stephen Herman and try to implement the knowledge from the video directly on the bike. Because the balance on the E-MTB can be trained with little risk but has a very large influence on a safe and pain-free driving style.
