E-MTB news: The start of the E-Bike World Tour 2022 will take place as part of the first Flachau E-Bike Festival. The debut of the E-Tour of Salzburger Land is the focus of the three-day festival from June 24th to 26th, 2022. Away from the racing events, the 500-kilometer route network in the region will be transformed into one large e-bike playground.
The countdown to the 1st Flachau E-Bike Festival has begun. From June 24th to 26th, 2022, the region will become an Eldorado for fans of electrified mountain biking. One of the most popular attractions of the Flachau E-Bike Festival is certainly the E-Bike Test Center. Hundreds of e-bikes are available for testing there, as well as the latest e-bike technology and equipment from the leading brands in the industry. You can also get active on the discovery tours, which are graded according to the level of difficulty. They offer a selection of fantastic routes through the region around Flachau for e-bikers of all levels. Advanced riders who are looking for competition can compete in the Bosch eMTB Challenge.
As part of the festival, the E-Tour of Salzburger Land will also be the first of three stops on the E-Bike World Tour 2022. In the e-bike stage race, which is accredited by the UCI, both professionals and experienced amateurs go in pursuit of points for the E-Bike World Tour (EBWT) and 10.000 euros in prize money. Among others, the reigning EBWT champions Jérôme Gilloux (FRA) and Léa Deslandes (FRA) will start. Ahead of them are 150 km of alpine trails with 5.000 meters uphill and 6.000 meters downhill. Several stages will be held on the two race days on June 24th and 25th, including a spectacular final night stage in Flachau.
