Cycling: Sam Bennett is the name of the winner of Eschborn – Frankfurt 2022. The Irishman is celebrating his first win of the season for the German team Bora – hansgrohe.

Sam Bennett wins ahead of Fernando Gaviria

The Eschborn – Frankfurt one-day race was held for the 59th time today. As expected, the spectacle in the German city ended after 185 kilometers with a mass sprint. The Irishman won Sam Bennett (Bora - hansgrohe), who was able to celebrate for the first time after his return to the German team. In the sprint he beat the Colombian Fernando Gaviria (UAE) and the Norwegian alexander kristoff (Intermarché - Wanty - Gobert Matériaux). Phil Bauhaus (Bahrain – Victorious) was fourth as the best German.
