BMC launches new, sustainable clothing label: Adicta Lab

19 May 2022 by Florian Strigel

Adicta Lab - sustainable clothing label

Product news: The Swiss premium brand BMC is founding a new clothing label with a focus on sustainability. Starting with a small collection - Adicta Lab wants to grow organically and wants to produce durable clothing.

Adicta Lab sees itself as a "holistic concept to strengthen sustainable cycling clothing" - there is still plenty of room on the market for the latter. And sustainable products should also play a much larger role for the future of our planet. Adicta Lab is therefore taking a welcome path with sustainable clothes. In terms of design, the in-house designers work with those of BMC together and share the same passion: cycling and a sense of performance and quality. With its first collection, the sustainable clothing label also wants to appeal to fans of the BMC brand.

Why Adicta Lab sees itself as a sustainable clothing label

According to Adicta Lab, it only uses recycled material for the fabrics from which the clothes are made: the polyester fabrics are obtained from PET bottles in certified recycling processes. The fabric for further processing comes from Italy and is characterized by high breathability. The polyamide fabrics, which are obtained from landfill waste and are ultimately processed into sustainable clothing, also come from Italy.

In order not to just stop at using recycled material, Adicta Lab founded the Terra Foundation. This initiative of the sustainable clothing label aims to support a new environmental project every year. Accordingly, this year the Terra Foundation starts by planting a tree for every product sold online. In cooperation with the non-profit organization Almighty Tree, trees are planted in western Kenya.

Clothing technology: sustainable and progressive

The recycled polyester fabric used by Adicta Lab is characterized by high breathability and comfort. The recycled polyamide fabric has good compression properties. It is also characterized by high breathability, UV protection and higher abrasion resistance.

Adicta Lab relies on 37.5® technology for optimal body temperature regulation. Particles of volcanic sand are worked into the fabric. This technology reduces moisture from perspiration, regulates temperature and also absorbs odors.

The first collection from Adicta Lab is called Equinox +. The jerseys and pants from the sustainable clothing label are high-quality and high-performance. Adicta Lab gets its inspiration for the spring and summer collection from nature. The colors and patterns are designed accordingly and bear the names Terra and Aqua. In addition, Adicta Lab also offers caps and socks.
