Product news: With the Besta model, HoheAcht is expanding its range of premium e-bikes. hell viper, coleus or thorn apple – these are some of the partly polarizing colors in which you can buy your Besta E-MTB. These names alone would actually be a reason to buy it, but we want to tell you a little more about the Besta from HoheAcht. The young company was founded in the Eifel in 2020 and takes its name from the highest mountain and volcano in the Eifel: the HoheAcht. In addition to the Besta, all e-bikes are painted and assembled here in Germany to enable the best possible quality control and to strengthen the local structures. The Besta comes in three versions: Besta Dio - the beast of God - is the top model with exquisite Öhlins suspension in a limited edition. Besta Monto - the mountain beast - is the mid-range model with good equipment such as a Rockshox Zeb suspension fork and Hayes Dominion A4 disc brakes. The affordable Besta Roko model – the rock beast – is equipped with a solid mix of Shimano and SRAM components and costs €5.699.

The area of application of the E-MTB HoheAcht Besta
HoheAcht designed the Besta as a light e-enduro. With 160 mm of spring travel at the front and 15 mm at the rear, the e-MTB actually ranks between enduro and all-mountain. The chainstays of the HoheAcht Besta are on the longer side at 450 mm, which should give the E-MTB smooth running and good climbing properties. In addition, the seat tube angle of 76,5° is on the steeper side – this also has a positive effect on climbs. A slack head angle of 64,5° and a long reach (483 mm for size L) also ensure smooth running downhill. The company HoheAcht has designed the rear triangle to be quite neutral. The Besta thus covers a very wide range of uses and should not only be a suitable E-MTB for enthusiasts.
HoheAcht Besta: Drive and equipment of the carbon E-MTB
All three equipment variants of the HoheAcht Besta are designed as full carbon frames. The latter saves weight - 21,3 kg is a value for the top model Besta Dio that is absolutely impressive! The low weight also contributes Shimano EP8 engine which is one of the lightest on the market in its class. Nevertheless, the Shimano EP8 brings more power to the trail in the lower performance range than many of its well-known competitors. HoheAcht complements the motor with a Shimano battery with 630 Wh.
We recently dealt with the drive in great detail and measured the performance values on the test bench:
[blog specific=“158277″]As already mentioned, the top-of-the-line Besta Dio model boasts a sophisticated Öhlins chassis. The top-of-the-line spec is complemented by the SRAM XX1 Eagle drivetrain and powerful Magrua MT7 brakes. It rolls on the new Mavic E-Deemax wheels. So, for 9, it's a great value.999 € a perfectly equipped E-MTB. Only the 125 mm seat post adjustment range might be insufficient for active riders with frame sizes M and up.
