Schwalbe Recycling System: The world's first bicycle tire recycling system

Schwalbe has been developing and producing high-quality bicycle tires for almost 50 years, and the topic of sustainability and longevity has always been a concern of company founder Ralf Bohle.
Since then, a wide variety of Schwalbe teams have been working with great energy on how to recycle used bicycle tires. After several years of research and an extensive pilot project, Schwalbe has now made the big breakthrough in close cooperation with its cooperation partners. This represents a quantum leap in terms of environmental awareness and ecological responsibility. Until now, used bicycle tires have been incinerated, which means that the raw materials and climate-damaging CO are lost2 is expelled. Now new tires are made from used ones, which saves up to 80% CO2 be saved. According to their own statements, around 500 dealers are already taking part in the Schwalbe tire recycling project, which is initially only available in Germany.

After the G-One RS, Schwalbe's fastest gravel tire and winner of the Unbound Gravel 2022, the family business is now presenting its seventh tire in its portfolio: the G-One Overland.
The new G-One Overland tire bridges the gap between Gravel and Tour with its versatile profile. What makes it unique is its extreme durability, which also makes it ideal for e-bikes. The Super Ground carcass, which is also installed in Schwalbe's MTB tires Racing Ralph, for example, provides puncture protection and high durability with three carcass layers under the tread and the continuous snakeskin fabric. The closed middle profile gives every wheel relaxed rolling behavior on rough asphalt, thanks to its concise outer lugs, the G-One Overland has cornering grip when the terrain becomes more demanding.
