Behind the well-known SwissStop bicycle brake pads is the well-known Swiss brake manufacturer Borflex-Rex SA. Founded in 1935, the company began developing and manufacturing bicycle brake pads as early as the 1960s. With the SwissStop brand, launched in 1991, the company continued its decades-long tradition in the research, development and production of bicycle brake pads. The brand has also sponsored numerous WorldTour road and World Cup MTB teams over the last 20 years. In order to be able to significantly increase production capacity, a new, fully automated production facility has now been put into operation at the headquarters in Mendrisio. The annual production capacity is given with more than one million pairs of disc brake pads. The new investment should also significantly reduce the time to market for new models. The products of the SwissStop brand are sold in Germany by MERIDA & CENTURION Germany GmbH in Magstadt.
