Test: The German manufacturer Parax has already made a name for itself in the scene with its visually appealing wall mounts for bicycles. Cyclists in particular love their sports equipment and often want to show it off in their own four walls. So that it doesn't have to be leaning against some wall or end up somewhere in the basement sooner or later, Parax has the perfect solution ready. To be more precise, even several solutions, because now you can choose between a few models to match the bike or the interior design. We tested one of Paray's racks.
Parax bicycle wall mounts – the models at a glance
Parax D Rack
The Parax D-Rack was the manufacturer's first model and combines design with functionality. The bike is placed in the foreground and not covered by the bracket. With a flick of the wrist, the bike is on the bracket and is safe thanks to the non-slip silicone protection. The different wooden fronts and colors allow you to adapt the Parax D-Rack individually to the facility in order to get a visually appealing feature.
Parax S Rack
With the Parax S-Rack, the manufacturer offers a stylish and inexpensive alternative. Available in plain black or white, the S-Rack blends in discreetly. The integrated shelf provides additional storage space for accessories. A variety of variations of this bike wall mount gives you a wide range of options for optimally adapting the S-Rack to the living space and bike. In order not to damage the bike's paintwork, the frame is placed on soft felt.
Parax U Rack
With the Parax U-Rack wall mount, you can also stylishly attach any other type of bicycle to the wall. Thanks to an individually adjustable cable pull system, mountain bikes, women's bikes, city bikes, trekking bikes, cross bikes, dirt bikes, e-bikes, folding bikes or BMX bikes can also find a place in your apartment with the U-Rack. The U-Rack consists of two tire holders and a main part with rope attachment. The combination of these three components gives you great flexibility and the ability to hang bicycles of any type, size, handlebar width and frame shape. The combination of high-quality solid oak wood and black powder-coated steel also ensures a modern eye-catcher in the apartment.
Parax Racks - The Assembly
The installation of the Parax wall mounts should be kept as simple as possible and, thanks to the supplied fastening material and an intelligent drilling template, can be screwed on in just a few simple steps. An integrated pendulum allows you to measure the angle of your top tube. The racks should be able to be adjusted to the angle of the top tube without a spirit level.
Parax bike wall mount on test
Of course we asked ourselves how the Parax bike wall mount really works and looks in practice, because who wants to drill holes in the wall if the result isn't appealing. We quickly decided on one of the popular D-Racks and got started. The handling and the first steps using the drilling template are self-explanatory and simple. Nevertheless, you should have the necessary manual skills and concentrate well. Once the holes have been drilled, the rack can be further attached in a few minutes. So thumbs up for that! Now it's really just a matter of hanging up the bike and admiring it. Here, too, we were won over by the stability and high-quality workmanship of the Parax mount. However, whether you also want to lift a heavy e-bike into a wall bracket or take a dirty MTB into the apartment, everyone has to decide for themselves. For us, such a holder would certainly be something for the basement room or the garage to store the bikes in the best possible way. If you want to hang your bike in your apartment or even want to display a collector's item, you should definitely use a high-quality Parax bike wall mount.
