Raffle: Win one of 5 Sena Smart Helmets

9 December 2022 by Florian Nowak

Sena helmets

Raffle: Since 2010, the US manufacturer Sena has been providing more connectivity on the roads with the development of communication systems for motorcycles. Thanks to innovative technological solutions for motorcycle fans, it has been possible to establish itself as a leading provider in this area. But cyclists have also been able to benefit from Sena's smart solutions for some time now, because the manufacturer also wants to offer more connectivity with innovative and intelligent bicycle helmets for all areas. We are giving away five Sena Smart helmets with a free choice of model.

The Sena smart helmets offer various connectivity features. The main function allows to connect and chat with multiple drivers within a radius of 900 meters. The audio is transmitted via integrated loudspeakers that are located directly above the ears, so that ambient noise such as traffic can still be heard. This offers a clear advantage in terms of security over headphones and headsets. To ensure clear voice pickup and transmission, a seamlessly integrated microphone with Sena's patented Advanced Noise Control technology is located on the front of the helmet.

In addition to connecting with other riders, the smartphone can also be paired with the Sena helmets to listen to music or take calls. Thanks to the Sena Cycling App, setup is quick and the connections are made promptly. The functions of the helmets can be controlled using an app, intercom groups can be created and brief instructions can be accessed on the go. Within the app you can also use the Smart Intercom Pairing function. Here you can simply scan a QR code to connect to the helmets of your companions. Thumbs up for the ease of use. Sena offers helmets for all areas of use and thus brings the connectivity features for urban commuters to sporty racing cyclists and on the trails.

Sena multisport helmet for urban use

The Sena Rumba multisport helmet with Bluetooth was developed for urban cyclists who want to combine the best protection with style. The Rumba is certified for both cyclists and skaters. Of course, this Sena helmet also has the proven communication technology that is integrated directly into the helmet. This allows riders to stay connected while driving or use the helmet as a hands-free system.

The concept of integrating Sena technologies into sporty helmets is also particularly exciting. But here in particular there is often more wind, which makes it difficult to understand your companions. Sena skilfully circumvents this problem with its connectivity features. In addition, the sporty Sena Road models are designed to withstand impacts and offer the necessary protection thanks to a molded polycarbonate shell with an expanded polystyrene lining. The helmet has removable and washable inner pads, a soft synthetic leather chin strap and is equipped with a twist lock. This gives you optimal adjustment options and the best fit.

Sena MTB helmets for best connectivity on the trails

With the Sena MTB models M1 and M1 Evo, the manufacturer offers mountain bike helmets that have all the features, such as mesh or Bluetooth intercom, a microphone integrated in the helmet shell, integrated speakers, smartphone connectivity and three button controls directly on the helmet. The integrated LED rear light provides additional safety. The M1 Evo has Mesh Intercom and, compared to the M1 with Bluetooth Intercom, offers problem-free use with an almost unlimited number of users within a radius of 900 meters.

Sena PI retrofit kit

In order to give even more cyclists access to Sena technology, there is also a so-called PI retrofit kit, which is said to be compatible with all helmets on the market. The PI is a compact headset that, thanks to its design, easily attaches to most bike or skate helmets, or any other helmet with a strap width of up to 18mm (0,7"). The device is operated using two buttons located on the left speaker. This is how you can turn your own helmet into one of the Sena smart helmets.
