Track European Championship: Germany wins in the medal table

European Track Cycling Championships Kluge Reinhardt Brauße Friedrich Hinze

Cycling: The track cycling European Championship 2023 in Grenchen ended yesterday, Sunday. Once again the Federation of German Cyclists was able to celebrate gold medals. The Germans end the European Championships in Switzerland as the most successful nation.

Friedrich becomes Gold Lea

With three gold medals has itself Leah Sophie Friedrich crowned herself Queen of the European Championships in Grenchen. After winning individual and team sprint titles, the 23-year-old also won gold in the keirin. Also about the most beautiful of all EM medals were allowed once more Theo Reinhardt and Roger Kluge be happy. The German duo was unbeatable in Madison and thus completed the European Track Cycling Championships for the German Cyclists' Association perfectly on Sunday. The Germans can look forward to a total of 13 medals. 7x gold, 1x silver and 5x bronze ensure that Germany ends up at the top of the medal table.

Hinze & Brauße celebrated on Saturday

Already cheered on Saturday Emma Hinze her second gold medal at this year's European Championships. In the time trial, she was once again the fastest woman on the track. On Sunday she even won the bronze medal in the keirin. Franziska Brausse was in a class of its own in the individual pursuit. Here was allowed Mike Kroeger happy about bronze.
