Cycling: Sebastian Molano won stage four of the UAE in a bunch sprint, giving his team a home win. There were no changes in the overall ranking.
Molano wins ahead of Kooij and Welsford
The mass sprint on the fourth stage of the UAE Tour is on Sebastián Molano (UAE). After 174 kilometers from Al Shindagha to Dubai Harbour, the Colombian was the fastest of all sprinters. He referred the Dutchman Olav Kooij (Jumbo – Visma) and the Australian Sam Welsford (DSM) narrowly finished second and third. The Favorites – Dylan Groenewegen (Jayco – AlUla), Sam Bennett (Bora – hansgrohe) and Tim Merlier (Soudal – Quick-Step) have to settle for ranks five, eight and nine. As expected, there were no changes in the overall ranking. Remco Evenepoel (Soudal – Quick-Step) continues to perform at seven seconds Luke Plop (Ineos Grenadiers). The German George Steinhauser (EF Education – EasyPost) is in a strong ninth place.
