Product news: There is hardly a community that doesn't have its own pump track. An investment that is definitely worth it. The specially designed circuit is very popular with young riders in particular. However, to ensure that the driving pleasure does not end badly due to a fall, it is important to wear protective clothing. With the YouDrop FF, ABUS now has a variable MTB full-face helmet in different colors for kids.

The growing number of pump tracks and child-friendly areas in bike parks means that riders are getting younger and younger. Appropriate equipment is essential for safety and the helmet is at least as important as the right bike. ABUS has therefore expanded the Gravity range with the YouDrop FF for the next generation of MTBs. Like its adult role model AIRDROP, the child-friendly full-face variant has numerous technical details for maximum comfort and protection. The helmet shape is not a shrunken version of the adult model, but a new development specially adapted to the shape of children's heads. Thanks to the removable chin bar, the YouDrop FF helmet can be worn either as a full face or as a half shell.

The helmet is produced using the InMold process, in which the outer shell is connected to the shock-absorbing EPS inside in a single operation. The Acti-Cage integrated in the core is intended to strengthen the structure of the helmet shell and increase stability. The practical Zoom-Ace system at the back of the head enables individual adjustment to the shape of the head. Thanks to the integrated ponytail outlet, wearing a braid or bun shouldn't be a problem. A total of nine air inlets on the front and five air outlets on the back provide the necessary ventilation on hot days. The openings in the front area are also protected with a mosquito net. The removable chin guard made of stable ABS material is equipped with a soft, cushioning EVA foam on the inside.

Another important safety feature concerns the attachment of the visor. This is attached with Velcro (velcro) and detaches from the helmet in the event of a fall. Reflectors on the side, in the rear area and on the top offer additional visibility in traffic. The YouDrop FF helmet is available in four colors at a price of 119,95 euros. According to the manufacturer, it weighs 430 grams. Based on the full-face helmet, there is also a variant as a half-shell model. The ABUS YouDrop comes without a chin guard and weighs 310 grams, the RRP is 79,95 euros.
