Gravity Magazine was at the Green Hill Bike Park for the launch of the legendary Rocky Mountain Slayer freeride bike. 180mm travel, a super slack steering angle and new features take the Slayer to a new level. You can find out how good the first impression is in the following video.
Rocky Mountain Bikes is one of the most renowned bicycle manufacturers in the industry. The company was founded in Vancouver, Canada in 1981 and started out as a small producer of high quality mountain bikes. In the 1990s, Rocky Mountain Bikes gained worldwide recognition in the mountain bike segment. In 2001, they launched the first Slayer to match the emerging freeride sport. Back then, the 120mm mountain bike had to put up with a lot, including wheelie drops, huck to flats, tricky elements on the North Shore and numerous jumps that didn't land properly. In 2023, the Slayer has adapted to the challenges and is now equipped with 180 mm of travel to withstand extreme loads.
