Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo: New look, new features, new adventures

Product news: The Sigma Rox family has stood for cycle computers of all kinds for a number of years. It doesn't matter whether you're a beginner or a professional, the individual models are perfectly tailored to the different requirements and needs of cyclists of all classes. With the Sigma Rox 12.0, a real all-rounder in terms of GPS bike computers was launched a good 5 years ago, which took navigation and training to a new level. With the Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo, you now have the successor in your luggage, which should convince with even better features and functions.

With its extensive features, the new Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo should be the GPS bike computer for limitless (e-)bike adventures. Its diverse map navigation functions, numerous training features, smart connectivity and intuitive usability make the computer the perfect companion on the bike. Whether you are on a racing bike, gravel bike, trekking bike, mountain bike or e-bike, the new Rox always offers the best route and brings you safely to your destination. Of course, he records extensive data from every ride in order to review the ride again or to be able to better control the training.

Navigation and tour planning with the new Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo



 

Whether you want to add some variety to your round at home or are planning a multi-day tour through the mountains, the Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo is at your side with its navigation functions. The maps in Sigma's own style highlight cycle paths and trails and always navigate cyclists to the best cyclist-specific route, no matter where and with which bike you are traveling. When planning, you have the choice between three different routes and can also individually set preferences regarding the underground. On the go, the bike computer clearly shows the route and turn-by-turn directions on the 3-inch, transflective display and indicates the next turn-off visually and acoustically.

Of course, with the help of the Data Center or the Sigma Ride App, you also have the option of importing pre-planned routes from platforms such as Strava or Komoot and loading them onto the Rox 12.1. Once imported, you can access the routes at any time, even while driving. In addition, worldwide map material and regular updates via WiFi are available for download free of charge.



 

Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo – operation and setup

Operation with five buttons and a touchscreen, large buttons and the modern, tidy design make handling the Rox 12.1 Evo child's play and intuitive. The optimized typography ensures very good legibility. Short menus and favorites menus can be reached quickly with a swipe on the display. Changing the display view, zooming in and out, route calculation or re-routing is done super fast and in real time.



With six predefined profiles and up to 20 individually configurable sport profiles, the new Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo offers an individual setup for every tour. Within the individual sport profiles, you have the option of personalizing training views, route preferences and alarms directly on the device or in the Sigma Ride app. Additionally, views for workout, navigation, FE-C Smart Trainer and laps are available on the Rox 12.1. The most important workouts are already pre-installed and workouts from portals such as TrainingPeaks are easily loaded onto the computer via the app.

The Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo connects to numerous compatible e-bike systems and accompanies cyclists on their e-bike tours. Once paired, it displays specific values ​​such as range, battery level or support level. In addition, the gearshift recommendation of the engine is shown on the display. This saves energy and battery power. Sensors for measuring speed, cadence and heart rate can also be connected quickly and reliably via ANT+ and BLE. The Rox can also be connected to radar, electronic shifting or a power meter.

Of course, the Sigma Rox 12.1 also offers other connectivity features. If there is an existing connection with the smartphone, smart notifications are displayed while driving. Messages can even be read directly on the display. The integrated fall detection ensures additional safety on the go. It automatically detects a fall and gives the driver 30 seconds to confirm that everything is okay. If not, previously selected emergency contacts are automatically informed via the app via SMS and the GPS coordinates are transmitted.



All ambitious cyclists are offered the option of extensive data analysis, which can be done either on the bike computer itself or on a smartphone. With the help of the Sigma Ride app, all data can be transferred to the smartphone via BLE and training values ​​and statistics from the last few weeks, months or even years can be kept in view. The app can also be used to transfer Strava Live segments to the Rox, with the user then being shown on the display when they are approaching the starting point of a segment loaded on the device and when the segment begins to tackle the next KOM.



The new Sigma Rox 12.1 Evo is available in two colors and either as a set or as a stand-alone device for 479,95 and 379,95 respectively.
