Ritchey Ultra: Special edition in honey mustard

July 10, 2023 by Florian Nowak

Product news: At the beginning of the year, the component and frame manufacturer Ritchey came out with a 50th Anniversary Edition of the Ritchey Ultra, celebrating half a century Pioneering spirit when it comes to mountain biking. Now the legendary steel frame comes in a new color: "Honey Mustard".

When Tom Ritchey first designed the Ultra frame, he wanted to offer riders with a wide range of specific requirements the right platform for the best handling and off-road capability. This approach is as relevant today as it was then.

"

The Ultra frame is specially designed for a 120 mm suspension fork and Boost 148 standard. With the right wheels and tires, the bike masters almost any terrain. So to give every rider the right option, the Ultra is designed to accommodate either 29" or 27,5" wheels, making it extremely versatile. Equipped with a 29er wheelset, the Ultra is perfect for demanding XC riding on the trails, while with 27,5+ wheels and the appropriate tires you get a faithful companion for rough trails. That's what happens when you have so much experience in the development of wheels and attachments. In the process, something special is created. The assembly of front derailleurs for double groupsets should also be possible without any problems.

The so-called "Honey Mustard" coloring is also very special on the latest Ritchey Ultra, which actually reminds a bit of the popular burger sauce.

"

The Ritchey Ultra Honey Mustard frame comes in four sizes (from S to XL) and weighs 2,57 kilograms. The frame is priced at 999 Euro.
