Jumbo – Visma works & Pogacar dusts off

Tadej pogacar (UAE) hit back. The Slovenian won the sixth stage of the Tour de France ahead of his opponent after 145 kilometers in Cauterets-Cambasque jonas vingegaard (Jumbo - Visma). The Dutch team Jumbo - Visma blew the big attack again today. Thanks to strong helpers, the competition was already isolated at the Col du Tourmalet. The start of Vingegaard could not be the man in yellow - Jay Hindley (Bora – hansgrohe) – don't go with me. Pogacar, however, was able to follow and only countered on the final climb. The Dane lost 24 seconds. It should still be enough for yellow, as Hindley lost almost three minutes today.

Powless takes Gall's mountain jersey back from him

Only allowed for one day Felix Gall (AG2R – Citröen) ride the mountain jersey on his shoulders. The Austrian had to put the dots back on today Neilson Powless (EF Education – EasyPost). As part of a 20-strong leading group, the American was able to score more points almost without any risk. Also represented in the group were, among others wout van aert (Jumbo – Visma), Julian Alaphilippe (Soudal – Quick Step), Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin – Deceuninck) and the German Nickias Arndt (Bahrain-Victorious).

Hindley can't follow Vingegaard & Pogacar

The German team Bora was in the main field – hansgrohe at the top. The Raublinger racing team presented the captain's yellow jersey Jay Hindley and controlled the pace. As it went up the Col'Aspin, however, Jumbo - Visma took over the baton. Dropped in just before the summit of the Col du Tourmalet jonas vingegaard (Jumbo – Visma) then the expected attack. First could next Tadej pogacar (UAE) also called Jai Hindley. After a few turns, however, the Australian had to admit that he couldn't keep up with the two strongest climbers. The duo caught up with the breakaway group over the crest and down the descent, in which wout van aert (Jumbo – Visma) was already waiting for his leader. behind had to Emmanuel Buchman (Bora – hansgrohe) keep the gap within limits for the man in yellow. However, the two best climbers of the past 2-3 years should decide the stage victory among themselves. Nobody could follow the duo up the final climb.
