Bikepacking experience across the Swiss Jura: Gravel Trans Jura 2024

July 5, 2023 by Andrew Waldera

Bike events / bike tours: Bikepackers can look forward to a very individual bike adventure in summer 2024. After the Gravel Ride & Race in Bern, the organizers will follow up next year with the Gravel Trans Jura bikepacking experience. This is a cycling adventure across the Swiss Jura, in which each participant sets their own pace and lifestyle.

Gravel Trans Jura 2024: Over countless Jura chains in six days

Bikepacking is a mix of freedom, adventure and borderline experience. The luggage must be integrated into the profile of the bike so that the off-road mobility of the bike is maintained. Due to the significant weight reduction of the equipment carried, the bike remains agile enough to be able to master demanding routes. A gravel bike is particularly suitable for this, as it perfectly combines the fun of riding a light bike with the fascination of cycle tours. If you are still looking for that special kick, you should make a bold note of the Gravel Trans Jura 2024 bikepacking experience in your diary.

Gravel Trans Jura 2024: Over countless Jura chains in six days

The route covers 360 kilometers and 12.000 meters in altitude over countless Jura chains in a maximum of six days. According to the provider, the route should contain as little asphalt and stretches as possible. The Gravel Trans Jura is not a race and there is no time measurement. Whether staying in a hotel or sleeping on a camping mat in a sleeping bag, everything is possible. Thanks to a detailed roadmap, the participants receive documentation that allows them to change their own plans at any time and adapt them to their individual needs. After a joint start, all participants determine their own pace and their own daily plans.

In the coming weeks and months, under www.ridegravel.ch/transjura Further details such as start and destination, exact rules and opening of the registration platform will be announced step by step.
