Cycling: Once again cycling has to mourn the loss of one of its heroes. Tijl De Decker is dead. The 22-year-old Belgian has succumbed to his injuries after his fall on Wednesday.

The bad news in cycling just keeps coming. Another young rider has succumbed to his injuries after an accident. Tijl De Decker of Team Lotto-Dstny collided with a car during a training session on Wednesday. The 22-year-old Belgian received medical treatment, was taken to the hospital, and underwent immediate surgery. He fell into a coma from which he never awoke. He was considered a great talent, having won, among other races, the U23 edition of Paris-Roubaix this season.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tijl De Decker, following a training accident last Wednesday.
