After a 36,2 kilometer battle against the clock, the new world champion in the U23 class was certain: it is Lorenzo Milesi. The Italian was eleven seconds faster than the Belgian in the time trial that started and finished in Stirling Alec Segaert. Bronze goes to the Australian, already 50 seconds behind Hamish McKenzie. He has been under contract with Jayco – AlUla as a stagiaire for a few days and now has the best prospects of being taken on in the long term. Milesi is already driving for DSM - Firmenich in the WorldTour and Segaert is in the professional squad of Lotto - Dstny. The Swiss Jan Christen finished ninth today, 1:22 behind.
