Product news: Pauline Ferrand-Prevot and Tom Pidcock have a lot in common, not only that they both secured the MTB-XC world championship title in Glasgow last week or that they both have the team in common, but also that the two athletes are on the Pinarello Dogma XC World Champion.
Admittedly, there is a small difference, because while Pauline Ferrand-Prevot rode to victory in Glasgow with the hardtail version of the Dogma XC, Tom Pidcock relied on the full-suspension model. This track record is impressive, because it was only in autumn 2022 that the traditional Italian manufacturer decided to develop an MTB. Pidcock and Ferrand-Prevot were involved in the development process right from the start and are also testing the latest prototype during the 2023 MTB season. The models are scheduled to go on sale in March 2024.
“It was a real pleasure to watch Tom and Pauline earn their rainbow jerseys and we are proud to have developed a hardtail version alongside the full suspension model, allowing both riders to tackle any XC terrain to excel.” – Fausto Pinarello
The Pinarello Dogma XC Hardtail by Pauline Ferrand-Prevot at a glance
The full carbon hardtail version of the Dogma XC is designed to offer maximum lightness, stiffness and reactivity at the rear, making it suitable for the faster circuits.
Inspired by the full suspension version, the new Pinarello hardtail frame focuses on delivering the stiffest frame on the market in the bottom bracket area. This has been achieved through the implementation of a unique triangular design, which allows for maximum power transfer while pedaling. The rear triangle also uses a patented asymmetrical design, with the left side being reinforced, allowing the bike to compensate for the higher forces acting on the opposite side of the drivetrain. This results in a more balanced energy transfer, improved speed and traction.
The individually designed, fully integrated cockpit not only saves weight, but also offers greater driving precision compared to a two-piece alternative. Fully integrated cable routing is also included, as is a custom headset bearing that features an internal stop at 60° to prevent over-torqueing the handlebars.
The Pinarello Dogma XC Fully by Tom Pidcock at a glance

In addition to Pauline Ferrand-Prevot's hardtail, Tom Pidcock relied on the full-suspension Dogma XC on his journey to the world championship title. Here, too, an attempt was made to implement a similar concept and to enable more comfort with the damper.
A special feature of the Pinarello Fully should be the integration of flex struts, which together with the damper make it possible to offer a more direct driving experience. In addition to a lower weight, this ensures improved rigidity and connection between the driver and the rear wheel.
A split rear triangle uses a unique design to eliminate a classic external "bridge", allowing for a shorter chainstay length and said to offer improved handling. It also improved power transmission.
