MTB / travel news: If you want to end this year's season with a special adventure, you could find the right event with ROAMER TRAIL Koroska-Carinthia. The new nomadic mountain bike series leads through the mountainous border area between Slovenia and Austria for three days. Not a race, but discovering new goals and shredding with like-minded people are on the program here.
From September 29th to October 01st, 2023, the new nomadic mountain bike series ROAMER will start in the eastern outskirts of the European Alps. Over three days, hand-built single trails take you through abandoned mines and dense green forests. As part of the tour, there is also a morning in the MTB ZONE PETZEN. Here it's time to rock the EWS slopes and the longest flow trail in the EU.
The multi-day mountain bike tour seeks to connect people to the places and create connections with other riders and the locals who have created a history of synergy between conservation and recreation in this part of the Alps. The local community and a combination of natural and purpose-built trails will play a big part in this trip.
The organizers also focus on the topic of sustainability. Each edition of ROAMER collaborates with organizations active in the mountain biking world. Both the IMBA (International Mountain Bike Association) and Trash Free Trails do valuable work. The goal is to get more people on their bikes while leaving as few traces as possible.
Each participant can freely choose the level of support. If you don't want to drive with your own equipment, you can have your luggage delivered to any overnight camp. Even renting a bike and camping equipment is possible. Whatever the decision, everyone arrives at the same hosted camp each night. The number of participants is limited to 100, the basic price for the multi-day MTB trip is 395 euros.
