Lower Rhine is a cycling paradise: Embedded in the metropolises of Düsseldorf and Cologne, the Ruhr area and the Netherlands, the Lower Rhine is a paradise for cyclists. The Meuse and the Rhine have created a unique stretch of land. The cycle path network, well signposted according to the junction system, is 2.000 kilometers long. Get to know and love the country and its people on a cycling holiday.
2-LAND Reisen is the tour operator for the Lower Rhine region with cross-border tours to the Netherlands. We offer perfectly organised, individual bike tours as a rally or round trip with pre-booked hotels including luggage transport at the highest level. Of course, you will receive extensive map material, a precise tour description and the corresponding GPS tracks from us. The accommodations offer the highest level of comfort at a three to four star level.

Our recommendations for your cycle tour on the Lower Rhine:
On the Via Romana cycle route you are on the former Roman road. The six-day cycle tour takes you to the Lower Germanic Limes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can find out how the Romans lived by visiting the LVR Archaeological Park Xanten and the neighboring LVR Roman Museum.
The Hanseatic route is also a tour steeped in history. The five-day cycle tour takes you to the picturesque Hanseatic cities such as Wesel, Kalkar and Emmerich am Rhein. It is reminiscent of the seafaring merchants who created an empire with their trade and prosperous cities along the rivers.

Do you know Joseph Beuys? Everything on the Beuys & Bike route revolves around the great action artist. You will also reach the impressive Moyland moated castle, which has the world's largest collection of works by Beuys and is extremely worth seeing because of its impressive gardens.
Water, water, water: the Lower Rhine has plenty to offer. First and foremost the Rhine, Europe's largest river. A cross-border rally shows the beauty and power of the river, which leaves Germany at Emmerich am Rhein and flows through the Netherlands towards the North Sea. With the Lippe and Issel, the Rhine is also the main protagonist of the 3-river route with Raesfeld moated castle, the Hanseatic city of Wesel with the cathedral and citadel and the Rhine promenade in Rees with its casemates. The Niers cycle path, on which you experience the pilgrimage town of Kevelaer with its Marienbasilika, is tranquil. The Schwalm-Nette nature park with the Krickenbecker lakes and viewpoints also offers impressive water worlds
"Water.Glances".

Along the route, you can let yourself be pampered in the rustic inns with traditional dishes such as Schnibbelskuchen (potato cake) or Muurejubbel (carrot stew).
By the way: If you don't have your own bike, you can also conveniently rent the NiederrheinRad for your holiday.
We look forward to seeing you!
