Raffle: Win one of three Trelock Lighthammer Pro bicycle lights

October 23, 2023 by Florian Nowak

Raffle: With the Trelock LS 990 Lighthammer Pro 250, the German manufacturer from Münster has a headlight specially developed for e-bikes in its range. With up to 300 lux, it is characterized by high luminosity and also offers a sophisticated accident warning system for an incomparable level of safety and lighting. We are giving away three Trelock Lighthammer Pro bicycle lights.
The Trelock Lighthammer Pro front light is a real highlight in the Münster-based manufacturer's lineup. Not only is the 300 lux impressive, but the so-called accident mode offers an additional level of safety. Based on the question of how a cyclist can actually secure the scene of an accident, the Münster engineers have put in the work and equipped the Lighthammer Premium with a groundbreaking feature.
A driver usually sets up a warning triangle to protect himself from other approaching vehicles. Unfortunately, no cyclist has ever had something like this in their luggage. This is how the idea came about for a fully automatic warning light function that draws the attention of other road users with a prompt and clear signal after a fall or an accident. In this way, approaching vehicles can be warned and possible collisions and subsequent accidents can be prevented. With an acceleration sensor and a microcontroller, the new front light detects the situation in which the bike is. As soon as a bicycle is on the ground and is not ready to ride, the headlight automatically switches on a visual signal to warn of a danger zone. If the bike is put back upright, the warning function switches itself off again.
Trelock Lighthammer Pro
In addition to the important safety features, the Trelock Lighthammer Pro offers other practical advantages. Installing this headlight is easy and does not require any complicated steps. Detailed instructions are included to ensure it is easy to install. But there is even more in the powerful premium version for e-bikes and pedelecs, for example you can switch from the 300 lux headlight to the low beam with 200 lux. In addition, the daytime running light function is switched on and off automatically via a sensor. With such strong light output, the correct alignment of the headlight is particularly important wichtig. Trelock has integrated a level function for the Lighthammer that helps with the correct setting.

Trelock Lighthammer Pro

In order to protect the e-bike's battery, the Lighthammer headlight switches to a standby mode when it is at a standstill, such as at a traffic light, which reduces the light output by 50 percent and only switches back to full power when you start driving. In city mode, the headlight even detects artificial light sources such as street lighting and reduces the output by 25 percent. However, if the headlights are too dark due to the automatic mode, you can switch the individual settings on or off individually.
