Raffle M1-Sporttechnik AM.750.Smag.P: Long suspension travel, powerful engines and light carbon frames are the typical features of M1-Sporttechnik bikes. The all-mountain model raffled off by Velomotion also has these attributes - a noble e-MTB that you can take a closer look at.
The fascination of E-MTB – that’s what the brand stands for Munich Surrounding area like no other. The model range from M1-Sporttechnik rests on two, actually three pillars: high-torque engines, light carbon frames and - apart from very few models - comfort and driving safety of full suspension. The M1-Sporttechnik AM.750.Smag.P represents all three.
Strongly motorized, light and well equipped
Who needs a bike like this? On the one hand, of course, those who are ambitious off-road enthusiasts, want to ride steep sections with optimal traction and strong thrust and value a sensitive chassis with long suspension travel when going downhill - and of course a powerful, reliable braking system. On the other hand, everyone who wants to enjoy driving fun and comfort on their two-wheeled journeys. And this also includes high torque, which offers maximum and sustained propulsion when starting at traffic lights or on hills, as well as shock and vibration absorption on poor asphalt, over cobblestones or on unpaved roads.
The M1-Sporttechnik AM.750.Smag.P fully meets these requirements. Its name says a lot about the characteristics of this e-bike: “AM” stands for AllMountain, i.e. the suspension travel category: The chassis gets 160 mm of travel from the “Fox Float Performance” suspension elements, which means the bike is definitely downhill-oriented.
Long suspension travel and sensitive motor
In the opposite direction, the abbreviation “Smag” becomes relevant because it stands for the Brose S Mag. Thanks to the magnesium housing, this drive unit is extremely compact and light - compared to the aluminum version, the material saves 500 grams. Above all, the Brose motor produces a torque of 90 Nm, making it one of the most powerful units on the market. There is also a sensor system that reacts depending on the torque and speed and is therefore intended to work particularly sensitively and directly. Especially on difficult uphill sections, an E-MTB has to offer well-adjusted support, and too much thrust at the wrong moment can cause you to get “stuck”.
High-quality bicycle technology on a lightweight carbon frame
Of course, 750 stands for the battery capacity of 750 watt hours, which is good for long tours in demanding terrain. And if you want to use the M1 in a sporty way in everyday life, you only have to plug it in very rarely. The B&M front light, which is super bright at 100 lux and significantly expands the range of use of the E-MTB, is particularly useful there. In any case, the M1 shines with high-quality bicycle technology: The Shimano XT with a wide twelve-speed cassette (10-51 teeth) is equipped for any terrain; With the MT7, Magura delivers a strong, easily controllable four-piston brake. There are also system wheels from DT Swiss, which are covered with whopping 2.6 inch wide 27,5 tires.
The entire technology adds up to a total weight of almost 24 kilos including pedals, making the carbon bike comparatively light - a big plus in terms of handling and riding pleasure. It doesn't get much better in the E-AllMountain category, and the price of 7.750 euros is also completely acceptable considering what's on offer. With a bit of luck, the bike is also available for free: in cooperation with M1-Sporttechnik, Velomotion is giving away a copy of the powerful carbon racer. If you want to secure the chance to win this top bike, all you have to do is answer our price question – we keep our fingers crossed!
