Will Barta could no longer be caught

At just 93 kilometers, today's final stage of the Tour of Valencia was a relatively short affair. The journey from Bétera to Valencia was not easy, however, as numerous riders in the classification went on the offensive again. However, when the GC riders neutralized themselves, some riders who had been left behind were able to catch up again on the descent. However, it was at the forefront Will Barta (Movistar). The American broke away from the breakaway group and was from then on as a soloist. Although several teams were interested in catching up, the gap of 10 to 30 seconds could no longer be closed. So he remained a top sprinter jonathan milan (Lidl – Trek) only second place. The Italian also wins the points classification. The overall victory in the Tour of Valencia is something to be proud of Brandon McNulty (UAE) look forward to while Mikel Bizkarra (Euskaltel – Euskadi) won the mountain jersey.

Vlasov attacks in vain

At a relaxed pace, today's final stage of the 75th Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana could have ended in a classic bunch sprint. But the classification riders wanted to use the climbs to Oronet and Frontera again to ensure movement in the GC. So the German racing team Bora – Hansgrohe gradually increased the pace until they finally became captain Alexander Vlasov (Bora – hansgrohe) attacked 47 kilometers from the finish. Just a little later I tried it bilbao hair (Bahrain – Victorious). But leader Brandon McNulty (UAE) also neutralized the attacks with the help of its noble Austrian helper Felix Grossschartner (UAE). Afterwards, some drivers who had already been left behind were able to catch up with the favorite group again. However, the sprint finale in Valencia was not to take place. Because the last remaining runaway Will Barta (Movistar) could no longer be caught despite the intensive follow-up work by the Euskaltel - Euskadi and Lidl - Trek teams.
