The Amazon Basic Care first aid set in the test
Amazon simply has it all – including one, of course First aid kits under the Amazon Basic Care line. At first glance, the set makes a sensible impression: it is cleanly processed, appears robust and has practical features such as a front pocket. There are also two Velcro straps on the back with which the kit can be attached to the frame, for example. With a price of under €13 and a configuration of 56 parts, it promises a good price-performance ratio.

Handling & inner workings
There isn't much to say about the inner workings of the Amazon Basic Care first aid kit: all of the contents are located unsorted in one compartment. This is not very practical in terms of handling, because when things have to be done quickly, you don't want to dig around here. What makes matters worse is that the compartment itself cannot be opened wide. Although the contents are somewhat protected from falling out, it does make finding the required utensils more difficult. The problem can be alleviated somewhat by packing frequently used items such as plasters in the front pocket.

The equipment
The Amazon Basic Care first aid set comes with the following equipment:
- 8x classic plasters 6x2cm
- 8x classic plasters 7x2cm
- 8x classic plasters 7×2,4cm
- 4x hydrocolloid plasters
- 2x fleece plaster
- 4x waterproof plasters
- 5x cotton strips
- 6x sterile gauze pads
- 1x bandage 4x6cm
- 5x disinfectant wipes
- 1x fleece roll 5×2,5cm
- 1x scissors
- 1x tweezers
- 2x bandage clips
Amazon's first aid set is very comprehensive with its 56 pieces. Small wounds in particular are easy to treat with a variety of plasters in different sizes. However, things like a rescue blanket, a triangular scarf and gloves are missing. Not least because of this, the set gives the impression that it is made for home use. The scissors are not a typical model that you would find in first aid kits, but nail scissors! Nevertheless, you can use the set as a basis and further equip it individually - the bag still offers some space.
