First aid set Holthaus Medical VELO bicycle first aid bag tested
The First aid kit with the long name Holthaus Medical VELO bicycle first aid bag is probably intended more for leisurely touring riders - at least the manufacturer advertises with a photo in which the kit is mounted on the stem of a touring bike. But of course you can also stuff it into your backpack as a mountain biker. The equipment is quite slim, but most of the essentials are still included. The first aid kit is our cheapest test candidate - which in turn is noticeable in the workmanship. Here and there a little thread sticks out.

Handling & inner workings
The Holthaus Medical VELO bicycle first aid bag has a Velcro fastener, but it has no special function. There is a zipper underneath - by opening it, the first aid kit can be completely opened. The contents themselves are secured with two wide rubber straps. These hold the contents in place well; even if the descent gets rough. The utensils for wound care are in a small plastic bag. This is a bit inconvenient because if you have to do it quickly, you will lose a few seconds and possibly your patience. Overall, the handling is pleasant and practical.

The equipment
The Holthaus Medical VELO bicycle first aid bag comes with the following features:
- 1 x Quick Bandage
- 1 x Triangle Cloth
- 1 x Rescue Blanket
- 2 x Skin Cleansing Wipes
- 2 x disposable gloves
- 4 x Wound Plasters
- 2 x Finger Bandages
- 2 x fingertip bandages
- 6 x plaster strips
With this content, the first aid kit is suitable for cycling activities that take place not too far from civilization. The kit offers a variety of different care options for smaller wounds - however, for larger wounds, there are no appropriate utensils for care.
