BBB Spark 2.0 in the test: We took a closer look at the light and compact LED rear light from BBB. We show you our test impression here.
At first glance, the very small and compact shape of the BBB Spark 2.0 is noticeable. The very low weight of under 23 grams also means it is easy to use, and the rear light is of very high quality. Thanks to the four different modes with flash mode, the rear light can be used in a variety of ways, but unfortunately it is no longer StVZO compliant. Memory mode creates additional convenience during stops or frequent use; a brake light is not integrated.

Our test impression of the BBB Spark 2.0
packaging and assembly
The BBB Spark 2.0 comes in completely plastic-free cardboard packaging; We just find it a bit large for the small lamp. Installing the taillight was very easy and intuitive. With the included rubber band, the rear light can be easily adjusted to any seat post in several stages. There is also a rubber pad on the back of the Spark 2.0 to protect the seat post from scratches and to make the grip even firmer.
Operation and battery life
With an on/off button, the BBB Spark 2.0 is very easy and intuitive to use; With a long press on the button you switch the taillight on and then off again. With a short press you can switch between the four different modes. In addition to the two normal modes, high (10 lumens) and low (3 lumens), you can also change the flash light (3 lumens) and day flash light (20 lumens) modes. One advantage of the BBB Saves 2.0 is the memory mode, in which the lamp switches back to the mode in which it was switched off first after it is switched off.
The battery life then varies depending on the mode selected, from three hours in continuous light mode to 28 hours in flash mode. An indicator LED lights up permanently when the battery level falls below 30 percent. The LED rear light is fully charged again after 1:45 hours using the included micro USB cable. When charging, the indicator LED lights up again and then goes out when the battery level is at 100 percent.
The BBB Spark 2.0 is one of the lightest LED taillights at 22,4 grams and is very small with its compact shape. The side visibility of 180 degrees is within the normal range of our test field. At a fair price of 24,95 euros, you get a high-quality rear light that is particularly impressive due to its low weight and small dimensions.
