Cane Creek Invert Gravel Fork: Comfort game changer for gravel bikes?!

15 April 2024 by Florian Nowak

Product news: US manufacturer Cane Creek will announce the launch of two new Invert Gravel models this summer: the Invert SL and the Invert CS. Both fork models are part of the company's new Cane Creek Invert gravel fork range, designed specifically for demanding gravel riders.

Cane Creek Cycling Components is a manufacturer of premium cycling products headquartered in Fletcher, North Carolina. The company was founded in 1975 as the North American headquarters of Japanese brake manufacturer Dia-Compe. In 1995, the company was renamed Cane Creek Cycling Components and was subsequently purchased by its employees. Over the years, Cane Creek has released several groundbreaking products - including the original threadless headset, the AheadSet - and the revolutionary Double Barrel Shock.

The Cane Creek Invert Gravel Forks offer innovative technology designed to revolutionize the riding experience on gravel roads. The Invert CS has 40mm of travel and a climb switch that is activated with a simple click. This switch dramatically reduces fork movement during climbing, providing riders with efficient support when standing at the pedal.Cane Creek Invert gravel fork

In contrast, the Invert SL is a more minimalist option for riders who prefer a lighter and more discreet design. With a travel of 30 mm, this Cane Creek Invert gravel fork does without the climb switch mechanism and still offers the advantages of invert technology. The low weight of less than one kilogram makes them the ideal choice for riders who value weight savings and performance.

The inverted design of the Invert Gravel forks is based on the proven “Four Pillars” of Cane Creek’s design concept. By reversing the fork, not only a lower mass is achieved, but also improved sensitivity and more effective smoothing of the surface. Additionally, the design reduces the unsprung mass of the system and makes cleaning easier in muddy conditions.

The invert gravel forks are easy to use. Riders simply need to adjust the air pressure in the spring to their body weight to achieve the optimal riding experience. Thanks to their easy operation and effective performance, Invert Gravel Forks offer everything riders need and nothing they don't.

Prices for the Invert SL model start at $1099,99, while the Invert CS model will be available for $1199,99, Euro pricing to be determined.
