The new Cube Nuroad Hybrid: E-gravel bike for everyday life and adventure

10 April 2024 by Florian Nowak

Product news: The German manufacturer Cube presents the new Cube Nuroad Hybrid series of e-gravel bikes for adventure seekers. Equipped with the lightweight Bosch SX drive system and flexible components, the brand new series offers adventure for everyone.

When the asphalt ends, the adventure really begins with the new Cube Nuroad Hybrid. This e-bike promotes the desire for discovery and invites you to use your own curiosity. The frame of the Nuroad Hybrid, made from C:62 Carbon by CUBE, is elegant and minimalist. With a total weight of less than 2kg for the fork and frame, this e-bike is not only lightweight, but also equipped with a number of practical details that make traveling easier. The generous tire clearance of 50 mm ensures more grip and riding comfort, even with mudguards fitted. Luggage can be stowed on the semi-integrated luggage rack, which is already included with the FE models.

In addition, the Low Rider luggage rack mounted on the full carbon fork can transport up to 10 kg. The load capacity can optionally be expanded with acid side cages or a handlebar bag. A Boost thru-axle on the rear triangle ensures safe handling, while a UDH derailleur hanger offers flexibility. The clear aesthetics of the frame are complemented by internally routed cables in the headset and an integrated seat clamp. Other features include a flat mount stand mount for commuters and a direct mount chain guide that ensures shifting remains possible at all times.

The Bosch SX system is seamlessly integrated into the Nuroad Hybrid's slim frame design. This lightweight drive technology offers up to 600 watts of power, reduced weight, up to 55 Nm of torque and 50% reduced pedaling resistance for a more natural riding experience. The integrated 400 Wh battery can be expanded by 250 Wh with the PowerMore adapter, and the controller is neatly integrated into the top tube and easily accessible.

The series includes five different models. Three models impress with a clear look and can be individually adjusted, while the two FE variants are already equipped with mudguards, luggage rack, stand and lighting system.

Cube Nuroad Hybrid SLT 400X

The Cube Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLT 400X embodies adventure in its purest form. The Newmen Advanced SL XR25 carbon wheels complement the slim carbon frame and offer low weight and the robustness required for exploring off paved roads. The XX SL Eagle Transmission from Sram delivers precise and fast shifting that draws its energy directly from the bike's battery. Like every Nuroad hybrid, this model is PowerMore-ready and can be expanded by 250 Wh.

The Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLX 400X and its fully equipped version, the Nuroad Hybrid C:62 SLX FE 400X, offer ultra-precise shifting thanks to Sram's electronic GX Eagle Transmission. Here too, the circuit is powered directly by the 400 Wh battery, so no additional battery is required. Schwalbe's robust Newmen Evolution SL

The Nuroad Hybrid C:62 Race FE 400X also has practical accessories for daily commuting or weekend tours with luggage.
