Cycling: Lennard Kämna was involved in a traffic accident during training this Wednesday. The 27-year-old German is currently preparing for the Giro d'Italia on the island of Tenerife. According to team boss Ralph Denk, Kämna's life is not in danger.

The Bora – Hansgrohe team was unlucky today. After Leader Primois Roglic already fell on the Tour of the Basque Country was also affected in Tenerife Lennard Kaemna. The 27-year-old was involved in a traffic accident and was immediately taken to hospital for further examinations. The German racing team announced this via press release.

team boss Ralph Denk commented on Lennard Kämna's health to the BILD newspaper:
“Lennard is approachable and can do anything. But there has already been a real impact. Luckily there is no danger to life. The crash apparently wasn't his fault. He collided with a car. According to my information, it happened while turning. I haven't spoken to the Spanish police yet. We’ll definitely know more after that.”

Lennard Kämna was involved in a traffic accident today that occurred during a training ride on Tenerife.
