Test Minitools: The Erfurt-based manufacturer Cyclus Tools develops and produces bicycle tools for professional workshops. With the multi-tool series, the company also offers three little helpers for on the go. In this part of the test we will focus on the middle tool in the series, the Cyclus Tools Midi folding tool.
Cyclus Tools folding tool Midi Minitool: construction and processing
After testing the Cyclus Tools folding tools Pro and Mini, we turned our attention to the Midi. As the product name suggests, this is the middle model in the multitool series. The similarities are more visually and structurally similar to the Mini than to the Pro. The few millimeters of difference make the difference in the end, but more on that later. There is a complete set of Allen keys from 2 to 8 millimeters and a Phillips screwdriver on board. In contrast to the smaller version, there is no slotted screwdriver, but there is a T25 Torx. Like the two models Pro and Mini, the medium version also impresses with its clean workmanship.

handling
The manufacturer has found a good compromise with the Midi folding tool. The tool is small enough for any saddle bag, but still fits comfortably in the hand without getting “lost” in it. The length of the individual keys also enables comparatively efficient work. The few millimeters of difference compared to the Mini make a surprising difference in terms of feel and leverage. The same applies to the Phillips screwdriver, which, due to its size, has more than just an alibi function. Completed with a T25 Torx key, the Midi is a serious tool for on the go.
