Cycling: He simply cannot be stopped. Tadej Pogacar also won the 20th and sixth stage of this year's Giro d'Italia. The Slovenian confidently celebrates the overall victory.
Pogacar does not give out gifts
Also on the last GC stage Tadej pogacar (UAE) did not distribute gifts. The Slovenian confidently won the 20th section of the Giro d'Italia with an attack on the last climb. At this point it was with Giulio Pellizzari (VF Group – Bardiani CSF – Faizanè) a soloist in front of the favorite group. But the talented Italian - just like the best riders in the classification - couldn't stay on Pogacar's rear wheel as he went up Monte Grappa and he finally had to give up just before the summit. So the man in pink rode confidently towards his sixth Giro stage victory as a soloist. Behind it, it initially looked as if it had to Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) fear for his podium place. But the experienced Brit divided the difficult climb - which had to be climbed twice today - perfectly and is therefore next to Dominator Pogacar and Daniel Martinez (Bora – hansgrohe) on the podium tomorrow after the final stage in Rome. Stark presented himself again today Simon Geschke (Cofidis). The 38-year-old, who will end his career at the end of the year, crossed the finish line directly after the best riders in the classification and can once again look forward to a good placement in the GC.
