RockShox Reverb AXS: The Wireless Dropper Post

June 25, 2025 by Florian Nowak

RockShox Reverb AXS 2.0

Product news: Since the advent of dropper posts, adjustable seatposts have become indispensable for mountain bikers. Whether descending, on the trail, or climbing, seatpost adjustments are practically constant. The new RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost sets the standard: Not only does it offer lightning-fast, wireless activation, it also integrates seamlessly with the entire Sram AXS ecosystem—a true game changer for a no-compromise biking experience.

Mountain bikers adjust their seat height almost constantly while riding. The RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost ensures this always remains quick and effortless. AXS technology allows for customizable controller adjustments and a seamless integration by integrating shifting and dropper post functionality. The Reverb AXS is a snap to install and remove, and is also extremely easy to maintain.

Integration into the Sram AXS system

The Reverb AXS integrates seamlessly into the AXS ecosystem via wireless switches, allowing for direct and precise control. Without any cables or wires to be routed, installation is incredibly quick and easy. A multi-tool is all you need, and you're ready to go. With identical batteries, controllers, and chargers for all SRAM AXS-enabled components, the RockShox Reverb AXS eliminates any unnecessary complexity.

For maximum compatibility, the RockShox Reverb AXS seatpost is designed for GX, X0, and XX drivetrains, ensuring better control and high reliability for every rider. With 25 mm increments, travel from 100 mm to 250 mm is possible, allowing for further customization.

The RockShox Reverb AXS is controlled via the newly designed AXS Pod Rocker Paddle. This offers riders a familiar feel for their electronic controls. The pod functions are customizable via the AXS app, allowing you to assign any action to any button. The new Pod Rocker is available for both the left and right pods for use with Flight Attendant.

RockShox Reverb AXS with Air-Over-Air and ActiveRide technology

RockShox innovations for the 2026 model year

When fully extended, the Air-over-Air design means the rider sits on a specially developed air spring with almost no negative air chamber. This creates a rigid and stable platform for the rider. Once the intermediate valve is activated and the post is compressed, ActiveRide begins to work. With ActiveRide, the negative air chamber expands and equalizes pressure with the positive air chamber, increasing comfort and providing more control during technical climbs.

The Reverb AXS's new air spring interior features ActiveRide, a built-in comfort system that improves traction on steep, technical trails. Fully extended, the Reverb AXS is maximally stiff, but as soon as it's lowered, ActiveRide kicks in, providing extra traction and comfort.

With a design specifically engineered for long-lasting performance, the Reverb AXS only needs a simple service every 300 hours of riding, or about once a year, and routine maintenance every two years with the 2-year service kit.
