Kooij celebrates his second stage win
Mass sprint in Rome: Olav Kooij (Visma | Lease a Bike) won the sprint to the finish of the Giro d'Italia. The Dutchman left Australian Kaden Groves (Alpecin – Deceuninck) and Italian Matteo Moschetti (Q36.5) behind. Teammate Simon Yates (Visma | Lease a Bike) celebrated the overall victory ahead of Isaac del Toro (UAE – XRG) and Richard Carapaz (EF Education – EasyPost). Lorenzo Fortunato (XDS Astana) of Italy triumphed in the mountains classification. The points classification went to Dane Mads Pedersen (Lidl – Trek).
